Congratulate me! The 2nd was my birthday...

Oof, it has been a hectic couple of weeks. I'm in the last few weeks of deadline for the robot book. I've found and fixed some technical and conceptual errors in Fuzbol. I haven't welded those last few joints on Boris yet. I'm still waiting for some parts from Rick, but they aren't holding me up... in fact, I think I'm holding him up because I promised some pictures last week to help him think about the design of one of them, but never followed through.

I probably going to be horribly busy until June 1st... at which time, Boris is again my only project.

My house hasn't made much progress, so it looks like a July move-in. I think the house completion date keeps shifting to match the Boris completion date ;-}

Doing circuits for the book, I found and fixed a few flaws on the Boris brains board. I'll have a variety of Atmel circuit boards for sale soon on my site, which should be fun. Atmel is a great chip, and is very under-supported in the hobbiest world right now.

Anyway, back to the grind -- I hope I'll have that exciting Boris news flow back up soon.

I'm BACK! Sorry about abandoning the Boris project this last month, but it paid off and the book is finished. I'm just waiting for a few straggling copyright permission forms before I can package it all up and send it to the publisher.

I'm *not* moving in July after all -- the builder is failing to build our house, and we've decided to wait until October to get our loan and move into some different place. Why October? Because it is a magic date that will allow us to get a good loan...

So I guess we are stuck in the apartment for another five months. Won't that be a hoot, when I finish the Boris leg welding and drag him into the living room for brain testing?

I'm going to head to the lab tonight, and probably most nights this week and weekend, until the legs are welded together and articulated to the body. Then, pending a few bits from Rick, the mechanicals will be done.

I should have a more specific update next week... with pictures.
