Ahhh, the sweet smell of Halloween. I've begun spending money like a madman already, and I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of Halloween products at several stores. Rumours abound on the haunted mailing lists of wondrous products, and I'm dying to get me some.
I was going to sell Boris' framework (sacrilege that it may be), but when I discovered that it would cost about $300 go ship it cross-country, I gave up on that plan. Now I have a nice Boris-shapes wall decoration in my garage.
My post-Halloween update will be fun. I've got a (hand-operated) pop-up puppet that will chat with guests. I could make it pneumatic, but heck, volunteer manpower at this haunt is cheap and easy. I'm also playing with ultrasonic mist-generators. Once the season has passed, I will almost certainly take one apart to see how it ticks. Or hums. Or whatever these do.
There will be other effects that I'll be a party to, and I'll take care to take photos for the web.
As for wild promises, readers of my pages are well familiar with my tendency to over-commit my time and energies... so you'll take it with a grain of salt when I say I hope to update my journal more frequently.
Until then....
