Ah, the new year, the new decade, the new century, the new millenium. Er, no, most of that doesn't happen until next year. Ah, the joys of an odometer roll-around year!
Well, I bought that new computer and gave it to Melissa -- and took her computer and gave it to Boris. Spent a zillion hours cleaning off the hard-drive, formatting, installing, and I'm still not done. Of course it's not like I've spent a bunch of time there the last couple of months either.
Of course I haven't been sitting idle either.
I have several projects under way right now -- some I can't talk about until the official announcement (but you will love these robots... man, I can't wait to start blabbing about them).
I've got Boris work on the schedule too... Melissa keeps my schedule now, and without it I would be lost. There is a big and artsy show here in Austin mid-March, called South by SouthWest (or SxSW, as it's known here) that I want to have Boris perform stunts at. I'm sure he'll be a hit!
Once that milestone is past, I'll try to show him off other places too -- though I don't want to destroy him in combat for another year or so, if at all. As some of you astute readers have pointed out in the past, he really isn't robust enough to last the five minutes in the ring with a Blendo or Nightmare... I would want to re-build him first, to hide his electronics better!
I'm actually finding myself drawn towards really big robots... Boris almost seems puny at his 300 lb weight level (that is, if I ever attach his mobile compressor).
Yeah, this is going to be an interesting year.
