Davis Technologies is a Machine Shop out of Southern California (13200 Kirkham Way #114, Poway, CA... to be exact). I know embarassing little about their operations, setup, capabilities, pricing structure and all that. I know they just moved their company into a huge new facility. And that it is all the brainchild of Charles Davis, a good friend of mine.
Charles and I used to work together (well, roughly together) at Point Control, Co. in Eugene, Oregon (now a splinter off of the CAMAX block of companies). I wrote software, and he knew about machines and machinists.
Keeping in touch over the years, Charles came to know about Boris and wanted to help. Well, I designed Boris to be easy to make with a chop-saw, drill press, and welding kit (the only tools I have)... but there are a few brackets, flanges, and whatnot that could benefit from a machinist's touch. And Charles built them for me. That's friendship.... dedicating time and materials from his busy shop to build the tendons, the connecting tissue as it were, of Boris's articulated legs.
